This weekend, I am going to the RenFaire a few counties over with my family. I've got a nice costume for it, but this morning I remembered that the last time I went to the RenFaire, it was 2017 and I was under 21. I think I should be able to stay sober the whole time, but it's just something that I'm going to have to keep in mind as well as everything else.

Be very careful when drinking at renfaire.

The heat is deceptive. It's hard to keep track of how tipsy you are, because the setting and the outfit and the weather are all unusual and none of your normal benchmarks for "okay this is enough and I should take a break" are working.

(Also drinks bought at faire are HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE, so... get there, check prices, set a budget, and stick to it.)

I'm planning to bring my own water, and buy the following food/drink:

1 sasparilla
1 turkey leg
1 meat pie

I know they have places you can refill water, so I'm banking on that, as well.
