Week 8, Entry 3

goatgodschildI think I understand what happened. At the same time, it isn't fair to Malcolm for me to reach out yet, especially since I'n not reliable yet. I had a near lapse today. But the fact I noticed it and drew back before I said anything was good. I talked to Alex a bit about it, because it was a pretty nasty case of cognitive dissonance. But Alex showed me how to break it up, which I was glad of.
Today I ended up missing my SMART meeting again, which I'm not happy about. Specifically, I mean...I am certainly having trouble keeping track of what's going on every day, since my slate ran out. You know what? I'm going to go get that marker from downstairs. I don't like missing more than I have to.
I did get my orthodic inserts today, and house shoes to put them in. Now I just need to learn to not walk on my toes. Right now it means I walk like a Simpsons character, but at least it's walking, and not with the cane.
Today I also got new shampoo and deodorant, a different scent than I usually use. And I have never used the Old Spice shampoo before. Between this and my lotion (s) and my goat-milk soap, why, I must be the best I have smelled in some time, and with softer skin, too.
"There's more to life than just muscles"... you can do so much with your body, it's not bad to care like that.
