Week 9, Entry 1
Jul. 18th, 2022 04:29 pmI'm back from the Faire! My feet hurt SO MUCH, but I've taken Advil and have my feet elevated, so they should ease up soonish. And I had an absolutely amazing time, one of the best Faires I've ever been to. There was more security this year, which I was really happy to see, since it was so crowded.
Another really amazing thing at the Faire was how well they managed alcohol. While standing in line for your ticket, if you showed your ID to the security person walking alongside, you could get a bracelet allowing you to purchase alcohol. But you could turn it down, you didn't need to get the bracelet. So that took care of my drinking, though I saw a lot of people who were quite drunk. They weren't my problem, though, and it was easy to stay away.
I did snap a bit at my parents when they asked me to get them an order of meat pie while I was in line, and my feet were already in pain, while I was waiting to meet up with my friends. They apologized for asking this extra thing, and I apologized for snapping at them. That was the worst my temper got, although I did end up sleeping quite poorly at the hotel.
