There's been a whole lot of day in this day.

The heat wave broke and it was drizzling all day, I got to go to the library, I got help with my sewing project, I went to a fancy restaurant, and then I took a bus to where I walked about 5-8 blocks uphill to the picnic the local queer group was holding. I stayed about an hour, then made my excuses (there were a lot of deer flies, and I was tuckered out). Then my dad picked me up, and I headed home to get a shower in and relax with a book until dinner.

Best of all, though, with all this walking, my feet barely hurt at all! And the hurt they did have was more of a "5-8 blocks uphill? We haven't been able to walk more than two blocks since June 26th, uggghhhh". Maybe it was just because of the good weather, but I felt really, really good.

It was a really good day. I heard the cold-drake nattering on every now and then (not hallucinations, just intrusive thoughts), but it was like...who cares? I don't need its input, even if I'm probably going to get its mental LinkedIn updates for the rest of my life.

Today at the library, I saw my Least Favorite Ex.

LFE (as they will be referred to hereon) is a gal I got together with in my senior year of high school. Four months of toxicity on both sides -- we were terrible for each other, and she hurt me a lot. But I graduated high school, got through college, and all I know is that LFE didn't, and she's still in town.

She was at the library with someone, and I thought, quite nastily, I wonder if she's running the same scam as she did on me.

But there wasn't any point in talking to her, going up to her, or even looking too closely at her. Just keep moving, get your books and head out, because moving on is the best thing to do.
