Today was extremely slow, but not in a good way.
I'm not in pain, but my toes need to be bathed and bandaged twice daily. With the bandages off, it looks SO gross, but in a way that suggests healing rather than infection. I want to start back on the Exercycle, but I'm pretty sure that it'll add in potential difficulties. I have a follow-up appointment on Friday, so I'll ask about all that then. I'm only 24 hours out, and the delicate period of the recovery time is 6 days -- 4.5 to go!
Obviously I couldn't go to ASAP today, because if I don't trust the wear and sweat on the Exercycle, I REALLY don't trust wearing open-toed shoes with four barely-healed wounds on my feet while spending time on one of the most-used buses in town, followed by time at the cat shelter, which is absolutely stuffed with things that really shouldn't get into an open wound, let alone four.
The library is closed until February 7th, because of construction nonsense, but that's good in its own way. I won't miss any volunteering time with them!
I couldn't seem to do much of anything today, which I was very frustrated with. I couldn't focus on reading, on writing, on chores, anything! It was only around 4:30pm that I realized I had a terrible migraine -- so bad that I couldn't move my jaw without pain. I thought I could just ignore it, since I couldn't find any painkillers in my room or the second-floor bathroom. Mom helped me, though, she found me two Tylenol and gave me a piece of toast, besides. When it hit, and my head didn't hurt anymore, I went limp. I was so tired after that!
I am tired now, too.
