I had to go upstairs almost directly after dinner. Olivia wanted to show off cat videos, and Mom kept wandering in and out of the kitchen and trying to clean the closet (or find something, I don't know which), and Papa was talking as well, and I was trying to get on the Exercycle, but everyone seemed to want to talk over each other, and then the beans Mom was cooking started to burn, so I decided that I would come down later.
I didn't write about it here, but I started copying out songs and poems that I like or find useful into my newest notebook.
I stopped last Sunday, though, because my hand was starting to seize up. But I got a lot copied out, at least. I bring this up, because this made me have to go through the first book(s) I was completely and utterly obsessed with. And by "the first", I mean, around preschool. These were The Jungle Books (both Book 1 and Book 2), and my Dandelion Library copy of Just So Stories. The latter only held 4 of them, but they're still my favorites, naturally. These are...I think at this point, I can't really talk about whether the effect was overall positive or negative, because they're so deeply entrenched in my mind, the way constant experiences from that young an age tend to be.
