Week 63, Entry 1

Despite my vow these past few months, I have written less and less. I have been focused on my job, and less on nearly anything else. I have been doing decently well at work, although I'm not quite as quick at shelving as I would like to be.
I am getting stronger, my arms and legs more beautifully muscled. The fat under my chin has not receded, sadly. I tried to do two 30-second planks this week, but my wrists revolted almost immediately, and I spent most of today having to wear my hard braces. I am riding Thoat most days, but I am going to have to get rides from my parents for the rest of this week, because bike riding is hard on the wrists in general.
Today, I was biking to work and a little Shih Tzu puppy, with no collar or leash, ran right into the road in front of me. I got off Thoat (nearly botched that), but the little dog ran faster, almost under the tires of a jacked-up Chevy truck. I threw my arms up and yelled "DOG!", and the car slowed, so the dog got across safely, but it was nearly hit twice! (once by me, once by the Chevy). Luckily, the dog's owner grabbed it once it got to the opposite sidewalk. I was very annoyed, all the same. Leash! Recall! A collar! There was also a tow truck and police cars (a crash?) and a car that tried to merge into the bike lane before deciding it didn't want to, either.
