I'm reading the novel of this at the moment - I'm finding it quite a Lot. There's some beautiful language, but also the bodice ripper sexual politics are...a bit grim, and I say that as someone with a higher degree of patience towards pulpy romance than the average feminist

One thing I've found for the radio station is an album by Beguildy which set lots of the Mary Webb poems to music.
